Our story

We built Jigsaw as a reflection of our experiences launching, growing and selling recruitment businesses.

Graham started his first business in 2002 and he faced the same challenges that many new recruitment business owners still face today. Transitioning from an individual recruiter to a successful business owner is tough. You find yourself with a wide range of new responsibilities, many of which you have no experience in, and support can be hard to find.

Through a combination of trial and error and making the right strategic hires, he built a successful firm. But when it came time to sell, it was a difficult, stressful process — and this wasn't unusual. Alongside his son, Michael, an M&A advisor, they began questioning why buyers made everything so complicated, often renegotiated over and over, and how a sale could drag on for as long as they did.

Jigsaw was started to solve these two problems: to support founders on their entrepreneurial journeys and to help make selling simpler.
